Found in sunny Orange County, California, Laguna Beach is a small beachside city known for its tourist attractions, pristine beaches and mild year-round weather. It’s also famous for its great shopping options, including numerous small businesses, boutiques and unique shops.
If you’re heading to Laguna Beach for a weekend trip, make sure to stop by these locales for the best shopping in town.

The HIP District
The HIP District (HIP=“historic and interesting places”) is a strip on the Pacific Coast Highway spanning just under one mile between Thalia Street and Diamond Street. The area is home to endless shopping opportunities. After you’ve finished shopping, you can head to one of the numerous art galleries or 25 restaurants in the area. Many of the historic properties in the HIP District were built in the early 1900s, offering an historic charm that defines this area of Laguna Beach.
Ocean Avenue

Located walking distance from Main Beach is the charming Ocean Avenue. From its origin point at the Pacific Coast Highway to its end at Forest Avenue, Ocean Avenue is just a quarter mile long. The quaint tree-lined street is home to numerous cafes, fine art galleries, boutiques and consignment shops. The Laguna Beach Historical Society is also found on Ocean Avenue, in case you want to stop in and get a quick history lesson on the local area.
Laguna Lumberyard Mall

The Laguna Lumberyard Mall is a charming, storybook-inspired outdoor shopping mall, featuring a variety of shops that you won’t find anywhere else. Stop by Nuance or Beach House for home goods, Just Looking for stylish clothing, or Tibet Handicrafts for one-of-a-kind gifts. Lumberyard is found on Forest Avenue, less than a 10-minute walk from Main Beach.
Peppertree Lane
Established in 1934 and located along South Coast Highway, Peppertree Lane is a small shopping center with charming herringbone brick pathways and picturesque planters. Grab some sweet treats from La Rue du Chocolat or Gelato Paradiso before browsing the women’s clothes available at Smitten. There are also two restaurants found within Peppertree Lane, and other popular boutiques, such as AMĒNAH , in the neighboring storefronts.
