The HIP District The HIP District (HIP=“historic and interesting places”) is a strip on the Pacific Coast Highway spanning just under one mile between Thalia Street and Diamond Street. Lumberyard is found on Forest Avenue, less than a 10-minute walk from Main Beach. Peppertree Lane Established in 1934 and located along South Coast Highway, Peppertree Lane is a small shopping center with charming herringbone brick pathways and picturesque planters. Grab some sweet treats from La Rue du Chocolat or Gelato Paradiso before browsing the women’s clothes available at Smitten. There are also two restaurants found within Peppertree Lane, and other popular boutiques, such as AMĒNAH , in the neighboring storefronts.
